Choosing outfits for 7 days, guessing the weather, worrying about what's appropriate to wear. Then coming home to a mountain of laundry.
Mado removes that entirely. Tell us your Japan itinerary. We curate a wardrobe appropriate for your cities, your activities, and your style. It arrives at your hotel before you check in. When you leave, we collect and launder everything. You bring home souvenirs, not dirty clothes.

THE FOUNDING STORY

In 2023, an impromptu trip to Fukuoka. One day to plan, pack, and prepare a wardrobe for the whole family. The stress was familiar — Winnie had been the designated family wardrobe planner for years. Sourcing outfits, coordinating looks, managing laundry. A labour of love. Also exhausting.
That day, a thought flashed: what if we didn't need to pack?
Mado was the answer. Not just for families bt for every traveller who has ever stood in front of a suitcase the night before a Japan trip, overwhelmed by the same problem nobody had solved yet.

THE NAME

In Japanese, 窓 (mado) means window. Like a window that frames a view without competing with it, Mado frames your trip through curated clothes and invites you to look through it.
That is what a well-curated wardrobe does. It lets you move through Japan as part of the experience, not separate from it. Dressed appropriately for Kyoto's shrines, Osaka's streets, Tokyo's neighborhoods, without thinking about it once.
