Mado is a Singapore-based travel wardrobe rental service for travellers heading to Japan.

Technology has transformed how we travel, book flights & hotels, navigate cities, stay connected. The one thing that hasn't changed is our luggage. We're still packing the same exhausting way — lugging heavy suitcases to the airport, dreading overweight fees, then coming home to a mountain of travel laundry.

Mado removes that entirely. Tell us your Japan itinerary. We curate and deliver a wardrobe appropriate for your cities, your activities, and your style. Return them as you leave, we collect and launder. You bring home souvenirs & memories, not dirty laundry.

It all started with only one day to pack.

In 2023, an impromptu trip to Fukuoka.
ONLY ONE DAY to plan & pack.

The familiar stress of putting outfits together,
coordinating looks and managing laundry.

Then a flash thought, what if we didn't need to pack?

Mado was the answer. For every traveller who has ever stood in front of a suitcase the night before a Japan trip, overwhelmed by the same problem nobody had solved yet.

THE NAME & METAPHOR

A window to Japan.

Mado (窓) means 'window' in Japanese.

Like a window that frames a new perspective, Mado invites travellers to step into the perspective of “looking through a window” and experiencing new styles and cultures in a way that feels safe, fresh, and inspiring.

A window framing the view of a house, Mado frames your journey through curated clothes that shifts places your visit and the seasons you travels through.
